Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do when I get the prod beta version?

To summarise, two weeks after the Pilot upgrade, our BDP Prod Beta (BISCIT Delivery Planning) site will be updated. You’ll then have a two-week window to log in to BDP Prod Beta and download/install the updated Epicor objects at a time that suits you (as this may require a data model regeneration).

Once you’ve installed the update using BDP Prod Beta, you can return to the BDP Production environment. When we later upgrade the BDP Production site, your transition should be seamless.

What do I do when I test the pilot version?

The BDP Pilot (BISCIT Delivery Planning) environment will be upgraded ahead of the main release, giving you the opportunity to preview and test the new functionality that will be included in the upcoming version.

We recommend logging into BDP Pilot after the upgrade to explore the changes, validate any key business processes, and ensure that everything works as expected in your specific workflows. This early access allows you to provide feedback or flag any issues before the update is rolled out to the BDP Prod Beta and eventually the BDP Production environment.

How do I know when my update is complete?

After installing a major CAB update, if you try to log in immediately without completing the necessary upgrade steps, you may encounter a "missing services" error. This indicates that either the upgrade process hasn’t been completed or something went wrong during the update.

The information message includes a link (https://biscit.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AgD0sQ) that will guide you through the required steps to finalise the upgrade. Once you’ve followed all the steps successfully and can log in without any errors, your update is complete.
